1986-1987

When I first moved to Arizona in 1986, this was the first band I played in. Country Sunshine was the house band at the Longhorn Saloon in Apache Junction, and they hired me to play lead guitar. We played Wednesday thru Saturday nights doing a variety of country and country rock music. I loved working with these girls. It was really cool to have the girls singing harmonies when I would sing a song. But the best time of all was every Thursday night. It was 50’s and 60’s night. We would play all 50’s and 60’s music.  The girls would dress up in poodle skirts, and the guys would slick their hair back, and roll their smokes up min their t-shirt sleeves. It was a really fun time.

I left that band about a year later to play with the Crossfire band.
