1984-1986
The Sugar Kreek Band originally formed as a group in 1984 in Zanesville, Ohio. They were Larry Bailey; lead guitar and vocals, Terry Madinger; bass guitar and vocals, and Brian Madinger on drums. They performed a lot around Parkersburg, West Verginia, Marietta, Reynoldsburg, and Logan, Ohio. Their unique style, and ability to arrange a four or five song medley from top 40 country cover albums kept them working all the time. Unfortunately the SKB broke up in 1986 when Larry Bailey moved to Arizona. Terry Madinger stayed in Ohio and worked with a few well known blues bands, and Brian stayed behind and did other things as well.
Then in 1999 Larry moved back to Zanesville and they got together a couple of times and tried to re-group, but it just didn’t work out.
Larry moved back to Arizona in 2000 where he currently resides, and the Madinger brothers are still in Ohio.
